From 2009 to 2013, sqdblstr.com was mostly for toy event coverage in Japan. In 2010, I was very lucky to have the chance to meet and interview five toy makers. They patiently sat through an hour or more of poorly prepared questions in Japanese. They met this with patience and kindness. I’m very grateful to get to know all five of these makers. I’m especially grateful to Mori Katsura of Real x Head for being the first. Without him agreeing to that first interview, I doubt I would have had much success intruding on other toy makers.
